newsletter
Neurobuttr
AI, but spreadable. One email every Sunday: one way AI can make your data work easier, explained in plain English, with something to try in 15 minutes.
It is for people in UK data and tech jobs who want AI to take some of the load off their week: the analyst who wants a second pair of eyes on a SQL query, the data engineer asked to "add AI to this", the BI developer who keeps hearing RAG and MCP in meetings. Each issue explains one useful thing well, in plain English, with a link for every claim and something to try at work. The big AI newsletters are daily and written for everyone. This one is weekly and written for people who work with data.
What every issue has
- The one thing. The week's most useful AI change for data work: what it is, how it can make your day-to-day easier, and how to start, or why you can safely skip it.
- Try this. A 15-minute task with a free tool, and the exact prompt to copy.
- Word of the week. One AI term in plain English, with a data example.
- Three quick ones. Three more stories, one line each.
- The UK number. One number about UK data or AI jobs, with its source.
- Your turn. One question. Reply, and I read every answer.
About a five-minute read, every Sunday at 08:00 UK time, with no hype and no jargon left unexplained. Every issue links a one-page PDF to keep: 20 AI words for data people, each with a data example.
Why the name: neuro for the AI, buttr because each idea should spread easily into your working week. The same ideas also come as short videos on Instagram.
Who writes it
I'm Ishan, an AI and analytics engineer in the UK. Four years across ecommerce, energy and AI startups: warehouse models, dbt, data quality, self-serve analytics and lately LLM tooling on top of it all. I write the newsletter with help from Claude. I check every fact and link, and the opinions are mine.
